Calls have come in the wake of comments Fury has made about homosexuality, paedophilia and abortion.

The Greater Manchester Police have confirmed they’re looking into reports of hate crime after Fury shared his views about “homosexuality” on Victoria Derbyshire’s BBC show.

Fury has also been accused of sexism, having reportedly said a woman’s place was “in the kitchen and on her back”.

However he lost the IBF title belt less than two weeks after winning after refusing to fight mandatory opponent Vyacheslav Glazkov, to focus instead on a rematch with Ukrainian Klitschko.

This led Rutherford to pull out of the event in protest of sharing the limelight with Fury because of his remarks, but he changed his mind after prodding by the BBC and his family.

Among other things, Fury had mentioned that homosexuality being legalized was one of the things that needed to happen “before the devil comes home”, in reference to him saying the end of times is near.

Fury remains the WBA and WBO world champion, while American Deontay Wilder holds the WBC version and could be a future opponent for Fury in the near future.

“I won’t do it as I’ll get in trouble, but the big fella there will annihilate him”.

According to the BBC, the Board have summoned the world heavyweight champion to meet them in the new year. You don’t hear me complain about it, do you, ‘ he said.

Sheffield’s Jessica Ennis-Hill remains second favourite to win the BBC’s Sports Personality of the Year award – but it is Tyson Fury who continues to dominate the headlines.

However, Fury appeared to embark on a belated charm offensive on Wednesday, tweeting a picture of himself as a contender with the accompanying message: “I’m going to win this year!!!!!”

He also faces a hate crime investigation for comments he made on the BBC.

A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Police said that they took “all allegations of hate crime extremely seriously” and will be visiting the victim’s address to take a statement in due course.

It seems that when it rains it pours for Fury who has been under the microscope from the media for his personal opinions and beliefs, he has even led to a petition to have him withdrawn from the BBC’s Sports Personality Of The Year awards.
