State police were unsure as to the suspect’s motive.

Woofter said the teacher talked the boy into not allowing the next group of students to enter the classroom. He did not give the teacher’s name.

Other students who opened the door to enter the classroom were told to leave. “Their ability to keep calm in this situation made it much easier for officers to successfully perform their duties, which resulted in positive conclusion to an incident which easily could have developed into a tragedy”, the State Police news release said. She said no charges had been filed as of Tuesday night.
