State police said they are just beginning their investigation into the 2-year-old’s death so details are scant.
The boy, identified by the Bucks County District Attorney’s office as Benjamin Austin Smith, was pronounced dead at St. Luke’s Hospital around 11:45 a.m., police said.
A Bucks County toddler died Monday after accidentally shooting himself, police said.
Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the shooting, including whether anyone was home at the time, how the child got the weapon and who owned the weapon. The father has been questioned, investigators say. “We all have children”, Sokolofski said, “So that makes this much more hard”.
