Boy, 3, dies after being found in a hot car in Houston
Police in Houston say that 3-year-old Evan Trapolino died Thursday after apparently walking out of his house and climbing into a vehicle parked in the front yard, possibly while looking for a toy, KHOU reports.

According to police, the boy left the house and entered the auto through the front door, possibly to retrieve a toy in the backseat. Doctors were unable to save him.
The Houston Fire Department responded to the scene around 2 p.m. Temperatures had soared into the upper 90s and the city was under a heat advisory. Houston Firefighters said he suffered from cardiac arrest.
“She was screaming and crying for help”, said Marlene Gonzales.
“He’s a handsome baby and kid”.
“We had great times together”, Lopez said.
No charges have been filed, but the case is still under investigation. CPS has been notified of the incident, as is protocol. As is the protocol in the death of a child, Child Protective Services were also called in to assess the situation and found that Evan Trapolino was the youngest of four children. Little boy was out playing around.
Neighbor remembered the little on in the same way, too, while also focusing on what they can do for his family. He’s the 13th child to die after being left in a hot vehicle this year.

The entire Southeast Texas area, including Houston, is now under a heat advisory and highs in Houston actually reached 96 degrees on Thursday while the index, or “feels-like” temperatures soared well into the mid-100’s.
