The hospital, which is one of the biggest one in Kanpur, refused to give him any help to take the boy to a children’s medical centre which they suggested him to go.
Not even a week old, we heard about Odisha man carrying his wife dead body on shoulders for 12 kms when hospitals denied providing van or ambulance for his poverty.
The principal of the LLR medical college and hospital, Navneet Kumar, was not available for comments. He told the Hindustan Times, “I begged doctors at the emergency ward to examine my son and admit him. They took 30 minutes before telling me to take the kid to the children’s hospital”, he said. Not provided with a stretcher, Sunil carried Ansh and when he reached the children’s ward, the boy was declared dead. He was studying in class sixth. He was very good at his studies.
In yet another instance of heartless medical apathy, a father lost his son in Kanpur after he was turned away at a government hospital in the city on Monday.
In another part of Uttar Pradesh, the parents of a 10-month-old boy who died in a hospital earlier this month had alleged that they were asked for bribes by every employee they encountered.
Later, Kumar carried the dead body of his son to home on his shoulder.

Kanpur District Magistrate Kaushal Raj Sharma has also ordered an inquiry into the matter and formed a two-member committee comprising Additional City Magistrate and Additional Chief Medical Officer.
