Although it’s not known what the pair will be watching, fans of The Fall actor will get an insight on his telly favourites.
Former Spice Girls star Geri Horner (nee Halliwell), new “The Voice” judge Boy George and 80s popstar Marilyn have also sat down for a night of tele to raise money for charity. Miranda will be watching with her on-screen mum Patricia Hodge, as well as her real-life mum Diana Hart.
The celebrity special airs on October 9.
The 2014 telethon has been replaced by a night of special fundraising TV show episodes, including a celebrity version of reality series First Dates, in which singles are filmed going on blind dates.
Jamie Dornan is to appear on “Gogglebox”.
Channel 4’s head of live events Ed Havard said: “The success of the partnership between Channel 4 and Cancer Research United Kingdom on Stand Up to Cancer has been remarkable, and we have raised many millions of pounds to fund groundbreaking cancer trials”.
Last year’s live event featured Gogglebox cameos from Kate Moss, Naomi Campbell and Noel Gallagher, celebrity auditionees for ‘Andy Murray: The Movie, a bake-off between Taylor Swift and Jamie Oliver and even an on stage proposal and we’re confident that a raft of famous faces crossed with a few of our best loved shows will help substantially add to that amount this year.
