Boy George previously slammed The Voice on Twitter
The Culture Club star has kicked off his time on the BBC show in the middle of one controversy, after Tom Jones revealed bosses replaced him with only 24 hours notice and no indication that he was being sacked.

Rather embarrassingly, an old tweet of Boy George’s has now resurfaced where the singer criticises The Voice as “pointless”.
One follower sent a sly joke in George’s direction – maybe not his best idea – as he tweeted: “U didn’t get asked to be a judge then?”
Describing himself as a “huge fan”, George wrote: “I have absolute respect for Tom Jones“.
The Voice’s official Twitter account was quick to respond, replying, “Thanks for watching”, to which George retorted, “Well, I am paying for it!”.
Another social media user saw eye to eye with the pop legend, and said: “Couldn’t agree more, all contestants are pre-known and they’re using genuine artists to (try and) give the programme credibility”.
A show insider told The Sun: “This was obviously banter”. George is clearly passionate about the show and won’t be holding back on his opinions when he is in the studio’.
Just a tad awkward that the singer declared he was a “huge fan of the show” last Friday, when it was announced he would be joining.
MailOnline has contacted representatives for both The Voice and Boy George for comment.
Although he did go on to say that he had “watched and engaged with it from series one”.
The Voice auditions will begin later in the autumn, with the new series returning to screens in January 2016.
“I will always admire the courage of the performers who participate in the show, as well as all the production staff who worked tirelessly to make a great family viewing experience for the audience at home”.
