Boy killed in horror Ferrari F50 crash on quiet Hampshire village road

The 13-year-old boy from the Winchester area was a passenger in a red Ferrari F50, which was being driven by a 37-year-old man from Surrey and crashed at about 8.45pm.

A TEENAGE boy has been tragically killed while a man has suffered life-threatening injuries after the £1.2 million Ferrari the pair was travelling in crashed.

The boy and the man are not related, police said, and an investigation is underway.

He is being treated at Basingstoke hospital, where his condition is described as stable.

Only 349 Ferrari F50s were built, between 1995 and 1997, and they now change hands for as much as £1,500,000.

A red Ferrari F50 collided on the access road that leads to Newlands and Lodge Farms, off Hook Road.

The boy, who has not been named, was pronounced dead at the scene, reports the Daily Mirror.

The F50, introduced for the 1995 model year, is powered by a mid-mounted 513 horsepower 4.7-liter V12.

The two-door, two seat roadster with a removable hardtop has a 4.7L V12 engine developed from the 3.5L V12 used in the 1990 Ferrari 641 Formula One vehicle.
