Boys among suspects in renewed Jerusalem stabbings

The attackers are hailed as courageous heroes, with a youth soccer tournament named for Muhannad Halabi, who murdered two Israelis, wounding the wife and two-year-old son of one in a stabbing in Jerusalem in early October. It further reported that the 12-year-old was shot, while his cousin was the one overpowered by the passengers until police arrived. The guard was moderately wounded and shot the younger assailant. Police said the other was taken into custody.

“I saw that the train had stopped and on the scene there were large numbers of police officers and security guards”, paramedic David Dalfan told the Times of Israel.

Meanwhile, 75 Palestinians have been killed by Israeli fire, including 48 said by Israel to be involved in attacks or attempted attacks.

The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) detained 25 Palestinians, mostly Hamas officials and members in a large-scale campaign overnight in the West Bank.

According to the Palestinian health ministry, more than 80 Palestinians have died, a few in clashes with security forces during protests, while others have been gunned down by security forces and vigilante citizens trying to carry out attacks against Israelis. The video made no mention of the preceding attack.

The two teens stabbed the 13-year-old Israeli and an Israeli man after which Manasra’s cousin was shot dead by police.

Palestinian protesters are calling for unrestricted access to worship at Al-Aqsa mosque, a Jerusalem site also revered by Jews as the location of two ancient temples.

Also Monday, documents show that Israel last month gave preliminary approval to development plans that could build more than 2,000 homes in West Bank settlements over the next 15 years.
