Brad Keselowski hits crew members during pit stop; both unhurt
Brad Keselowski’s day almost went sideways during a green-flag pit stop in the first half of Sunday’s race at Pocono. He battled back and thanks to multiple contenders running out of fuel managed to get all the way back to that second-place finish.

It was a scary moment for all involved, especially the crew member carrying the jack. The tire carrier wound up jumping onto the hood-technically no longer a tire carrier, as it went rolling into traffic-and the jackman got taken out on the driver’s side of the auto as Keselowski almost ran over his feet.
Keselowski’s front tires locked under braking as he pulled into his pit stall and his auto slid through the pit box.
The loose tire meant a penalty for Keselowski and it put him down a lap and in 37th place.
“Just glad we were able to rally to second”. Everybody OK?’ Keselowski asked via radio after the event, according to Fox Sports.
Brad Keselowski, 31, of Team Penske, was pulling in to the pit lane, where cars come for maintenance and refueling, when he overshot the designated area and hit two of his crew members at the Pennsylvania race.
A commentator watching Team Penske’s pit stop mishap said that refuelings had been a weakspot for Keselowski, a former victor of both the Sprint Cup and Xfinity Series. “We got into a position where I believe we were the fastest vehicle on the track”.
While it appeared the race was securely in the hands of his Team Penske teammate Joey Logano, fuel mileage came into play in the final laps of the race as the leaders ran out of gas one by one.

“We were closing in the on the leaders (at the end)”.
