In a statement, Federal Bureau of Investigation has stated that they are probing the incident in the aircraft.

Now FBI agents have confirmed to the BBC they are evaluating whether to investigate any allegations against Pitt.
The FBI released a statement to Us Weekly about the investigation, stating, “The FBI is continuing to gather facts and will evaluate whether an investigation at the federal level will be pursued”.
The source went on to say that Pitt was “drunk and was fighting with Angie”.
A source close to Pitt told USA Today that the Fight Club star meant to cooperate fully with any investigation and that he believed the child abuse allegations were baseless.
‘It’s unfortunate that people involved are continuing to present him in the worst possible light’.
The news site said the incident prompted Angelina Jolie to file for divorce the following Tuesday.
The Los Angeles Police Department denied on Thursday reports that the Pitt, 52, was under investigation.
Citing anonymous sources, TMZ previously reported on Thursday morning that Pitt was suspected of being “verbally abusive and physical with his children” during a trip last Wednesday on the family private jet. We’re told Brad then lunged at the boy and Angelina jumped in between them to block her husband.
The investigation comes after an alleged incident took place on a flight with his eldest son Maddox. He’d reportedly been drinking, and it was someone either onboard the plane or on the ground who anonymously contacted the L.A. County Dept. of Children and Family Services, says a source.
Neither Brad nor Angelina have commented on the allegations.
“We are not investigating any case, nor do we have any allegations against Mr. Pitt”, Sgt. Barry Montgomery told The Hollywood Reporter. “We do not know the specifics of the alleged abuse … just that it was supposedly both verbal and physical”, TMZ said.

Jolie separated from Pitt the day following the alleged incident and filed for divorce a few days later.
