Brad Pitt’s facing serious claims of alleged child abuse
TMZ reported on September 22 that Pitt, Angelina Jolie, and their six children-Maddox, Pax, Zahara, Shiloh, and twins Knox and Vivienne-were on a private jet when a drunk Pitt allegedly became belligerent and violent with his children.

A Los Angeles Police Department spokesman said earlier Thursday that Pitt is not the subject of a child abuse investigation by Los Angeles police, despite “rumors” to the contrary.
An anonymous whistleblower reported the matter to the Los Angeles County Department of Children and Family Services, it said. They’ve also welcomed three biological children, daughter Shiloh, 10, and twins Vivienne and Knox, 8.
The Los Angeles Police Department is not investigating any allegations of child abuse against Brad Pitt, a spokesperson told PEOPLE Thursday.
The insider continued, “It’s unfortunate that people involved are continuing to present him in the worst possible light”.
UPDATE 9/22 12:40 p.m. ET: The L.A. County Department of Children and Family Services is unable to comment on whether or not the department is investigating Brad Pitt for alleged child abuse.
Jolie’s lawyer released a statement, saying “This decision was made for the health of the family”. The news broke on Tuesday that the couple, often called Brangelina by fans and the media, were splitting after being together since 2004. Social workers are scheduled to interview the children, as the investigation is ongoing.
According to sources, the alleged airplane outburst is what caused Jolie to file for divorce, though a different source also claims Brad is innocent. Since then, Pitt and Jolie have adopted Pax from Vietnam and Zahara from Ethiopia.
“I am very saddened by [the divorce], but what matters most now is the well-being of our kids”, Pitt later said in a statement. The alleged incident took place on a private jet in flight between France and the U.S., so it falls under the FBI’s jurisdiction. She has requested primary custody of the couple’s six children.
