Brady completed 16 of 26 passes for 166 yards, a touchdown and an interception as the Patriots (3-1) missed out a flawless preseason in a 17-9 loss to the Giants (2-2).
A play later, hearts paused all over New England as Brady took off for a 10-yard gain with no ill effects.

While it’s hard to read too much into the final preseason game because numerous guys in it are released the next day, last night’s game turned into a showcase for new Patriots outside linebacker Barkevious Mingo.
It is not known how long the Patriots plan to play Brady before turning things over to Brissett. Garoppolo is 36-of-54 (66.7 percent) for 406 yards with one touchdown, no interceptions and a 95.1 passer rating in three preseason games. He finished the night 16-of-29 for 210 yards, a touchdown and an interception.
Patriots: Recently acquired LB Barkevious Mingo was active in his Patriots debut, making five solo tackles, one assisted and two quarterback hurries. “Yeah, going back to Giants Stadium, that was a very emotional – a lot of memories from Giants Stadium; a lot of good ones”. Players had an off day, (but) he spent the whole day in the facility with the coaches going through material to get caught up.
