The Giants and Marlins played 14 innings on Monday and Posey caught the whole game.

Marlins pinch hitter Ichiro Suzuki grounded out in the sixth inning a day after becoming the 30th player in Major League Baseball history to collect 3,000 hits.
GIANTS: San Francisco said manager Bruce Bochy has been admitted to a Miami hospital after falling ill and missed Monday night’s game against the Marlins. “My role is to pitch. You don’t know quite what you’re going to get with Tom, and to me that’s part of his success”.
Seattle manager Scott Servais said the club is sending a message to Walker with the move, saying that with the Mariners in the wild card chase they need more consistency from the young right-hander. “We didn’t figure it out today”.
Pinch hitter Trevor Brown followed with a ground ball to the left side that appeared to find a seam, but shortstop Adeiny Hechavarria made a terrific stop to his right and threw to second base in time to force the speedy Nez, who had not appeared to get a good jump.
“I blamed Crawford for a bad tag, to bring him down a peg after he had seven hits”, Posey said.
Crawford’s big night did wonders for his batting average, as he raised it an incredible 13 points from.265 to.278. Stennett finished with four singles, two doubles and a triple – collecting one more total base than Crawford did.
Even Bochy might have flipped to synchronized diving, or tucked into a cup of lime Jell-O and taken a nap.
Koehler (9-8) allowed two hits and three walks while striking out six.
I ve always said that this game will humble you quickly.
Martin Prado also homered and drove in two runs for the Marlins.
Crawford’s hits came off six different pitchers.
Crawford tied the National League record for hits in a game, joining the company of Wilbert Robinson (1892) and Rennie Stennett (1975).
George Kontos (3-2) pitched two scoreless innings to earn the victory.
The Marlins took a 5-1 lead into the seventh behind a solid outing from Jose Fernandez, who allowed one run and six hits in six innings. But he said things turned around when he worked with pitching coach Juan Nieves in making a couple of mechanical adjustments, and just by getting back to the basics. “That’s all I can ask for”. Bochy was released from a Miami hospital after spending the night there with an undisclosed illness. Nolan Arenado homered in the fourth and hit an RBI single in the eighth off victor Keone Kela (3-1).
The sixth inning was Moore’s only flawless one, and he struck out Jeff Mathis to end the frame with his seventh strikeout.
RANGERS 4, ROCKIES 3: Elvis Andrus hit a two-run single, Mitch Moreland (Amory, MSU) delivered a tiebreaking double and Texas scored three times in the ninth inning to beat Colorado. “One run, and two RBIs”. Crawford’s single in the eighth tied it at 7. “They bounced back and from there it was insane after that”. The Giants, meanwhile, are 35-16 in their last 51 games versus a starter that has a WHIP greater than 1.30 and are 40-19 in their last 59 games when their opponent scores five runs or more in their previous game. Suzuki tipped his helmet to fans in appreciation before grounding out in his only at-bat.

“It’s not like he doesn’t have good stuff”, Mattingly said of Koehler. Bochy returned to the Giants bench on Tuesday, but his lineup held no potency in a 2-0 loss to the Miami Marlins. Koehler is 2-0 with a 0.90 ERA in his last three starts.
