Branford Teen Killed in Pennsylvania Crash
Chester One person was killed and six injured in a crash that occurred on the Pennsylvania Turnpike shortly before 2 p.m. Sunday.

Injured students were Victoria Barrett, 18, of Gibsonia, Pa; Sarah Bixby, 18, of Flemington, N.J.; Claire Fountas, 19, of Barrington, Ill.; Matthew Hrynkow, 20, of Annandale, Va.; Brooke Kalodner, 18, of Voorhees, and Max Titlebaum, 20, of Merion.
The accident happened on the Pennsylvania Turnpike and involved seven students. According to Onward State sources, students involved in the accident were with the sorority Alpha Chi Omega and fraternity Tau Kappa Epsilon.
She said: ‘The loss of one of our volunteers and the injury of others is a tragedy and we know this will be felt throughout our community. We will do all that we can to honor her memory and dedication to THON.
State police said the the turnpike was closed for much of the afternoon between King of Prussia and Downingtown.
Selected college students spread out across Lower Pottsgrove, Pottstown, Limerick and Royersford during the weekend (Friday through Sunday, September 25-27, 2015) with well-labeled collection cans, seeking donations from motorists and shoppers in a launch of the 2016 Penn State THON fund-raiser to fight childhood cancers. We ask that everyone respect the privacy of individuals directly involved. Some of the fundraising initiatives include weekends where students solicit donations in communities in the region, according to the web post. Since 1977, Thon has raised more than $127 million for families of pediatric cancer patients and research.

The University’s Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS) unit said counseling sessions will be available.
