Brannagan signs Liverpool deal
Nineteen-year-old midfielder Cameron Brannagan commits his future to Premier League side Liverpool by signing a new contract. “We are not far but I think it’s time to take more points”, the former Aston Villa forward added.

With Liverpool’s current injury crisis depriving them of several key players, including club captain Jordan Henderson, Brannagan may get another opportunity in the first-team sooner than later. The 19-year-old midfielder, who is highly-rated by the coaches at the club’s Melwood training base, has made one first-team appearance, when he came on as a substitute during the Merseyside club’s Europa League clash against Bordeaux this season. Brannagan has been practicing with Liverpool’s first team since Klopp’s arrival and hasn’t featured for in the U-21s’ last two games. However, Klopp hasn’t revealed his plans for Brannagan publicly.
The teenager’s previous contract was due to expire at the end of the season but, according to ESPN FC, a new deal has been agreed.

A number of players now are ahead of Brannagan in Klopp’s midfield pecking order, but anything is possible for the local talent both in this time of transition and in the future.
