Brash Maine Gov. LePage endorses Donald Trump for president
Chris Christie endorses Donald Trump for president on Friday before a Trump rally at the in Forth Worth, Texas.

The Republican party’s last-gasp bid to deny Donald Trump the presidential nomination suffered a momentous setback yesterday, when the billionaire won the shock endorsement of charismatic conservative grandee Chris Christie. “He is a strong and resolute leader, and he is someone who will lead the Republican Party to victory over Hillary Clinton, which is the single most important thing we can do”. Poking fun at his own endorsement of Jeb Bush, Graham pulled out a “Make America Great Again” hat and made a joking, non-endorsement of Trump, saying, “I endorse Donald Trump and hope that Graham magic still exists”.
“I think it does take me a little bit longer to get into the rhythm of campaigning”, she said on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe”. “He is rewriting playbook of American politics because he is providing strong leadership that is not dependent upon the status quo”, Christie said.
And he noted that he himself had dropped out of this year’s presidential race and promptly endorsed former Florida governor Jeb Bush, who subsequently dropped out.
Ironically, like Christie, LePage said he wouldn’t be endorsing Trump earlier this month.
Trump spent much of Friday’s news conference and rally ripping Rubio, and zeroed in on that debate night featuring Christie’s attacks.
The ads are part of a “significant part of a multi-state, multi-million dollar buy”, said the pro-Rubio group’s spokesman, Jeff Sadosky.
Well, before this afternoon, I probably would have said that Christie and Graham have more in common with each other than they have in common with Trump. “I am proud to offer my endorsement of his candidacy for President”. “But if it’s Donald Trump, you bet I’m going to go help him”. Trump added that Christie “can’t win because of his past”.
The new poll shows Trump with the support of 40 percent of likely Republican voters in MA, with Rubio and Kasich each receiving the backing of 19 percent. “And over the years we’ve had a lot of wonderful times together, done a lot of good together for not only the people of the state of New Jersey, the people for many charities we’ve worked with and on together and I absolutely appreciate him as a person and as a friend”, Christie said.

“Every time I think the campaign can’t get any more interesting, it gets more interesting”. And it underscored the extent to which Trump has managed to dominate the news cycle and starve rivals of momentum just as they appear to be on the rise.
