Braves continue to struggle in loss to Padres

The San Diego Padres and the Atlanta Braves face off on Tuesday at PETCO Park for game two of their Major League Baseball series.

Craig Kimbrel, obtained from the Braves the day before the season started, pitched a shaky ninth for his 34th save. Atlanta is 2-7 in their last nine games in San Diego. It was a nice bounceback effort by the 24-year-old Venezuelan rookie after surrendering 15 runs and 19 hits over his previous two outings. Cameron Maybin ended the stalemate with a leadoff homer as the Braves posted their fifth win in seven home games. Gyorko last played that position in college at West Virginia…. He’s made 63 starts at second base this season.
