Bravo unlikely to face West Ham, says Guardiola

The biggest news is the debut call-up of West Ham United winger Michail Antonio, who scored on Sunday against Man City and will certainly have two reasons to smile now.

City’s 1-0 win over Steaua Bucharest on Wednesday sealed their place in the competition’s group phase, but supporters used the game to voice dissent over Guardiola’s treatment of hart.

“Bravo is fit but he’s not going to play this weekend”.

Sunderland are the only Premier League side to have made a move for Hart, with Ronald Koeman ruling his Everton side out of a move for him.

“He’s a goalkeeper with a lot of experience in Spain and with the [Chile] national team”.

“He has experience, can anticipate situations not in the box, in front of the box, is good in the build-up plays, quick under the posts – he is a good player for us”.

The Chilean’s arrival means Hart is now effectively third-choice for City. It was an occasion that had the feeling of a farewell, as the club moves in a different direction under the guidance of Guardiola.

Bravo went on to describe how hard it was for him to leave Barcelona, where he had won La Liga twice and the UEFA Champions League as well, saying “It is not easy to leave a club like Barcelona where I had two fantastic years, but the opportunity to work with Pep Guardiola was too good to refuse”. So Joe, Willy and Angus stay then it won’t be the same one who is always on the bench.

Bravo said of his four-year deal: “I’m very proud to be joining Manchester City”.

Hart, who may likely have made his last appearance for City, said that he was touched by the support he received from the club’s fans during a match that was won by Fabian Delph’s second-half header. They are going to be used in rotation.

Asked if he was still on the look-out, the Catalan said: “No chance, it is enough”.

“I played for Man City and I enjoyed it and I have done every time I have played for Man City”.

Clubs from overseas who have been linked with the 29-year-old, who has two Premier League winner’s medals, include Sevilla in Spain and Borussia Dortmund in Germany.

“I can not deny this was special for me”, he said. I grew up in Catalonia.
