Brazil coach Dunga set to be sacked
No replacement has been named yet with CBF stating the hunt for new manager has begun.

Substitute Raul Riudiaz’s hotly disputed goal earned Peru a shock 1-0 win over Brazil in Foxborough, Massachusetts, the defeat knocking the five-times world champions out the Copa America at the group stage. “Coordinator Gilmar Rinaldi, coach Dunga and all their will leave their positions”, the body confirmed in a statement.
“The decision was made in mutual agreement in this afternoon’s meeting and the CBF will now start its selection process for a new Brazil coaching staff”.
The favorite to replace Dunga, should he be sacked, is 55-year-old Corinthians coach Tite, who guided the Sao Paulo club to last year’s Brazilian Serie A title. Brazil then sputtered through its first six games of 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifying and now sit outside the four-and-a-half qualifiers for Russian Federation 2018.
Brazil crashed out embarrassingly from the Copa America Centenario taking place in United States after a 0-1 loss to Peru.
The Barcelona forward was left out of the Brazil squad for the Copa America as part of an agreement with his club which permits him to play in the sporting showpiece in August, and he can not wait for the Games to begin.
Dunga has been relieved of his duties as Brazil head coach.
This year’s Copa America is being played across ten cities in the US, the first time the tournament has been held outside of South America.
The former Brazil captain, who led the Canarinho to their 1994 World Cup success as a player, also failed to deliver a Copa America last summer as Brazil were eliminated on penalties by Paraguay at the quarter-final stage.
Dunga’s dismissal comes six years after he was first axed from the job following Brazil’s World Cup quarter-final exit to the Netherlands in 2010.
The second giant of South America falls in the group stage of Copa America Centenario.

The top four teams qualify automatically for the tournament and the fifth-placed side enter an inter-continental playoff.
