Breaking News: Prof. Ade Adefuye, Nigerian Ambassador To US Dies At 68
Former Governor of Lagos state and leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu has described as shocking the news of the sudden death of Nigeria’s Ambassador to the USA, professor Adefuye.

Ashafa said the late ambassador’s legacy of service in Nigeria’s Diplomatic Corps has earned him a well-deserved spot in Nigerian as a country.
“The success of this visit speaks to Ambassador Adefuye’s skill as a diplomat”.
Adefuye, whose tenure as ambassador ends on August 31, 2015, died after suffering from an heart attack in a Washington, DC hospital. “Nigeria’s external image took a dip in January 2010, when the US placed the country on global terror list following the failed attempt by Abdulmutallab to detonate the bomb strapped to his pants”. Nigeria lost a distinguished ambassador who will be dearly missed. “He worked closely with us in planning the successful trip of President Buhari to the United States”, Tinubu said.
“During his time as Nigeria’s Ambassador to the United States, he demonstrated that he was a passionate Nigerian both in words and in deed”. He assured me that he would do everything within his power to ensure that Nigerians living in the West Coast region don’t have to travel far for their consular needs.

The Governors under the aegis of PDP Governors’ Forum, also expressed their condolences to the Federal Government and the late Ambassador’s family.
