Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal draws flak after photographs showed his name being displayed by a formation of children at Independence Day celebrations instead of Jai Hind or any other patriotic messages at Chhatrasal stadium on Saturday.

The BJP state cell called the AAP leader self-obsessed and demanded an apology. Kejriwal also lauded Union Minister Uma Bharti for herself approaching the Delhi government over collectively working towards cleaning Yamuna river. The display came up a few times during Kejriwal’s speech. “Shameful Megalomania!”

The issue Kejriwal was raising was a serious one involving his former colleague Yogendra Yadav’s arrest by Delhi police from Jantar Mantar and the unwarranted treatment meted out to him by the latter.

Kejriwal thanked PM for the wishes and wrote: “Thank you so much sir for your wishes”.

Some school students made visual formation of my name during independnce celebrations. I was not at all aware that students wud do this.

Meanwhile, Kejriwal learning about the incident said that he would “stop this wrong practice forthwith”. “I will try to have the first cheque given away by Rajnath Singh”, he said.

A government release said this was not a “new practice” started by the AAP as was being speculated.
