Breast Cancer: What You Need to Know

The trend is a significant change of direction for a county once known for having the highest breast cancer rates in California. Since 1986, we have been at the forefront of a nationwide movement supporting and advocating for the breast cancer community.

But our work is far from done.

“This is the time of year when we try to get the word out and have everyone understand the importance of screening and the importance of going to get your mammogram regularly”. That means we need your interest, support and awareness all year round. If you experience any of those, Amonette says you should let your doctor know immediately so you can receive an examination.

A YouGov survey of over 500 women living in Scotland found that for 54 per cent of women who don’t check regularly, the main reason was they simply forgot.
