Breathe A Sigh Of Relief, Because Finn Balor’s Surgery Was A Success

The featured match of the night has Brock Lesnar taking on Randy Orton in a non-title bout. There is sure to be something for everyone to like, and something for everyone to hate.

Good choice for the opener since the crowd loved Enzo & Cass, seeing as how they are from the area (Cass is from Queens, Enzo is from New Jersey).

WWE Universal Title Contender’s Match: Non-Title: Big Cass (with Enzo Amore) def. Rusev (with Lana) by intentional count-out to advance to the WWE Universal Title match next week.

Miz retains because this match has gotten little hype and it be a shame for The Miz to lose the title that way plus it cheapens the title. Something is missing with them and it’s not AJ Styles. The fact that Styles now owns two head-to-head victories over Cena is a significant indicator of the company’s confidence in his abilities.

Including the pre-show this was a 13 match card.

Match 5 – WWE Tag Team Championships, (c) The New Day w/ Jon Stewart vs Luke Gallows & Karl Anderson: Stewart joined the New Day at ringside as Big E’s stand-in. None of the previous six won the title match.

Ziggler and Ambrose put on one hell of a show as the WWE Championship Summerslam match started with headlock takedowns and then transitioned into a dropkick from Ziggler and corner splash. Nikki Bella has been on the shelf recovering from neck surgery.

It wouldn’t be surprising to see Owens win the belt. The WWE Universal Championship will be decided next week on Monday Night Raw. There are three matches for the kickoff show and ten more for the event.

Former NXT champion Finn Balor, who made his main roster debut on July 25, defeated former WWE champion Seth Rollins by pinfall on Sunday to win the inaugural WWE Universal championship at SummerSlam inside the Barclays Center. Last night, Reigns became the attacker, by beating him up in brutal fashion. Reigns turns the tables on the champion, and officials have to separate the two.

An intense back-and-forth sequence saw Rollins try to set up the Pedigree and ended with both men on the ground after Balor hit the Pele kick. Fast forward to 2016, and it’s like everyone switched dance partners, as Dean and Dolph tore the house down while Roman went after Rusev’s United States championship!

The Beast vs. The Viper. Whatever you want to call it, this is a match 15 years in the making. That Brock Lesnar went into business for himself (No Way!) nor does he need to be “fired”. Orton is in bad enough shape for the match to end by TKO. These matches needed the time.
