Brees carries Saints past Seahawks 25-20

Such as its offense. McCown played every offensive snap against the Ravens, passing for 260 yards and two touchdowns.

The Saints benched Ingram after his early fumble was returned 34 yards for a touchdown by Seattle safety Earl Thomas. Until he got it. It’s going to be emotional for Jimmy Graham when he’s on the other sideline wearing a Seahawks uniform instead of a black and gold uniform. That was George Fant. Wilson pushed the Seahawks into scoring position with three big passes: A 14-yard completion to RB C.J. Prosise, a 27-yard strike to WR Doug Baldwin and an eight-yard shot to Prosise. Standing at 3-4, if you look at the Saints and consider “what have you done for me lately” it’s easy to see that the Saints are playing their best football of the season right now.

“Really?” Lane said he told the official. That has led to a total of 339.3 yards per contest.

After practice Thursday, Unger went so far as to say he “couldn’t be happier” than he is right now as an offensive leader with the Saints, who named him a captain this season. Wilson drove them from their own 25 to Steven Hauschka’s short field goal, and Seattle trailed 22-20.

Running back Christine Michael has 406 rushing yards and four touchdowns on the season for Seattle.

That was one story line in the Seahawks-Saints clash.

Graham was scheduled to speak with the media on Friday prior to the Seahawks’ departure for New Orleans but he was not made available. He finished with 265 yards, 138 below his per-game average over New Orleans’ previous five home contests.

The defense later held the Saints to field goals twice on drives of 83 and 74 that got inside the 5-yard-line. His run to the 19 set up the Seahawks with 15 seconds to go.

That means the Titans remain very much relevant to how the season turns out, and if they can continue pushing things in the second half of the season they could end up as a surprise package in the postseason.

The Saints’ offense wasn’t as explosive as it quite often is, but did a fabulous job of controlling the clock and keeping it away from Seattle. Seattle had 11 flags for 76 yards compared to just two for 10 vs. the Saints. They now have an excellent chance to reach.500 with a trip to San Francisco on the horizon next week – and the possible returns of key defensive players Delvin Breaux and Sheldon Rankins.

Yet the Seahawks still led.

The Seattle Seahawks (4-1-1) came foram a 6-6 tie with the Arizona Cardinals last week in which Russell Wilson threw for 225 yards in 24-for-37 passes.

Seattle’s defense also forced a field goal in the third quarter after the Saints had a first-and-goal on the 1.

The Saints haven’t been to the playoffs since 2013, when they were eliminated by a Super Bowl-bound Seahawks squad featuring numerous same players invading the Superdome on Sunday.
