Brendan Rodgers “Incredibly Disappointed” As He Jets Off To Malaga
Gerrard and England worldwide Raheem Sterling left Liverpool at the end of last season and Rodgers has struggled to find the right formula with their replacements.

The Northern Irishman was given his marching orders on Sunday after the 1-1 draw with Merseyside rivals Everton and attentions have instantly turned to who will replace the 42-year-old.
Aldridge admits that he was shocked by the timing, but believes Rodgers had the tools required to at least achieve a top four spot, which he feels for a club of Liverpool’s stature should not be the limit of their ambitions.
Brendan Rodgers today released a statement regarding his relationship with Liverpool football club and thanking them for his three years of employment.
“We would like to place on record our honest thanks to Brendan Rodgers for the significant contribution he has made to the club and express our gratitude for his hard work and commitment”.
Liverpool chief executive Ian Ayre is understood to be liaising closely with the club’s United States-based ownership group – principal owner John W Henry, Reds chairman Tom Werner and FSG president Mike Gordon – over the recruitment process which they hope to have completed before the players return from worldwide break next week.
Klopp, 48, has been out of work since leaving Dortmund at the end of last season following a disappointing campaign which saw them in the relegation zone during the first half of the season. “If you look at how it ended at Dortmund, they were in the relegation zone and he couldn’t get a tune out of his players”.
“When he was interviewed after matches, whatever the performance, he always seemed to say something along the lines of: “The players were great, they gave me everything and I couldn’t ask for anymore”.
“If it was me I would go for Klopp ahead of Ancelotti”.
Rodgers has suggested that he will likely take a few time off from football, though with a job opening at Sunderland there will undoubtedly be speculation about him getting straight back into the game.

Former Germany World Cupwinner Stefan Effenberg, who won 35 global caps, believes his fellow countryman and friend Klopp is a flawless fit for the Anfield hotseat. Forget talking about the title.
