Brendan Schaub Ridicules Amir Khan for Conor McGregor MMA Boast

It was in Las Vegas that Alvarez was inexplicably awarded a score of 114-114 from judge CJ Ross when he dropped a majority decision to Floyd Mayweather on a night he was clearly outboxed, and also where he was awarded a split decision win over Erislandy Lara when many observers believe he lost. Is victory a mere formality?

Canelo Alvarez, on the other hand, is accustomed to the pageantry of fight week for a Pay-Per-View bout.

Mexican hero Canelo took exception to Trump’s outrageous comments and says his compatriots make a contribution to U.S. society.

“As for Canelo and Khan, their interests upon arrival yesterday seemed to be more in keeping with the sport of boxing itself: ” There is a difference between wanting and doing”, said Canelo of Khan, continuing, ” On Saturday night, we will see who will give who a boxing lesson…

Amir Khan poked fun at Donald Trump at today’s head-to-head, claiming this could be his last fight in the U.S. if becomes President.

“If you want to be great, or dare to be great, you do what Amir Khan has done, and no one is going to blame you if you fail”. You have to respect that, and you have to take this guy seriously.

“I think Mayweather is a little bit bitter”, he said.

“I’m going to hit Canelo and he’s probably not going to feel it, but skill is going to win it”, the Brit said on Wednesday. “There’s a reason why Floyd Mayweather didn’t want to fight him, why Manny Pacquiao didn’t want to fight him”.

“I know there’s a rematch clause and it may mean two fights with Canelo”.

And Virgil Hunter insists Amir Khan would be a superior fighter if he had always trained him, revealing a belief his previous development has been flawed.

Considering that Golovkin has hammered the likes of David Lemieux, Martin Murray, Matthew Macklin, and Daniel Geale in recent years – and Khan earned his shot without any middleweight experience whatsoever – it was fair to ask exactly who the Kazakh should fight to gain Alvarez’s approval.

“I’m a 154-pounder”, said Alvarez, who’s fighting Khan at a 155-pound catchweight.

Khan is a heavy underdog against his 25-year-old opponent, whose only defeat was by American legend Mayweather in 2013. “He’s going to be putting a lot of pressure on me, pushing me back, but we just have to be smart in there”. From Canelo’s struggles with quick and tricky fighters to Khan’s chin being brought into question after some devastating losses, all these factors merely add to why this is such a fascinating fight. Most people who go through what he’s gone through get gun shy, but I was amazed, the first time I ever saw him spar, the attitude he had, man, I didn’t understand it.
