Breshad Perriman’s MRI shows no new damage
The team has already lost two players (DT Brent Urban and S Matt Elam) for most if not all of the regular season. He tore his MCL and ACL in a late-season game with Jacksonville last year, and Harbaugh said the safety had been way ahead on rehab. Perriman put up flashy numbers at UCF, but he also had some issues dropping balls, including eight last season and he has made up for that with speed around the 4.3 range in the 40-yard dash. Training camp for a rookie wide receiver isn’t just time to get in shape; it’s when you learn the offense, develop chemistry and understand how different defense is in the NFL.

Harbaugh’s hopes that Perriman will return during training camp are very far fetched.
Perriman missed his 14 straight practice Monday morning, following an off-day on Sunday. The prized first rounder hasn’t practiced since “bruising” his knee back on July 30th. Regardless of the outcome of the practices, it will add to the product on the field Saturday night, as each team will have a slight familiarity with their opponent. They have done well in training camp, so if the injuries remain, they will receive more and more time to show they deserve to make the roster. Michael Campanaro, Jeremy Butler and Darren Waller worked with the first-team offense in Saturday’s practice while Perriman, Kamar Aiken (undisclosed) and Marlon Brown (back, hamstring) all sat out. The optimism we saw during OTAs has now changed to concern over whether the rookie will be able to regain his health. That would leave Perriman with two preseason games and three weeks of practice to prepare for Week 1 against the Broncos.

However, if the rookie out of Central Florida remains sidelined for much longer, he is going to lose his hold on the roster spot and another space will open up for the other receivers to take. The injury, per Jason Cole of Bleacher Report, has become quite “troublesome” for Harbaugh and the Ravens.
