Brett Brown eyes preseason action for Joel Embiid
It might finally be okay for Sixers fans to start getting excited about the prospects of Joel Embiid taking the court this season.

We’ll get one step closer to finding out if the center drafted in 2014 will finally make his National Basketball Association debut in 2016 with the 76ers this preseason – at least according to Philly’s head coach Brett Brown.
JoJo has missed the past two seasons while recovering from surgeries to return from a fracture in the navicular bone in his right foot.
Philadelphia tried to activate Embiid last summer, but it was found out that his recovery had suffered a setback after a CT scan revealed that his injury is still not completely healed.
The former No. 3 overall pick is expected to make his Philadelphia debut during the preseason, Brown said on Friday during a podcast appearance with ESPN.com’s Zach Lowe. Embiid was then ruled out again for the 2015-2016 season after undergoing another operation on the same right foot in August of past year.
“I just left my third consecutive day workout with Joel a half an hour ago – 45 minutes ago, 10 minutes before you and I got on the phone. We’re just very excited”.

“There’s a real feel good mentality right now in our city”. “Obviously, this is just one more phase, one more wave on how we build our program. Everybody’s excited here in Philadelphia”.
