Brett Favre’s only ‘regret’: Only seven seasons with Mike Holmgren
He also complimented former Green Bay Packers general manager Ron Wolf, who helped build the team into a Super Bowl victor in 1996 and entered the Hall of Fame a year ago.

It’s been a special weekend for Green Bay Packers leged Brett Favre.
Said Baker: “When I talked to Brett Favre earlier he said, ‘Huh, I would have played on this.’ And there are a lot of guys who would have played on this, but if one guy would have gotten hurt on this, it’s a hard game enough without us making it more hard”. “I firmly believed when we made the trade for him that he would become a Hall of Fame quarterback and, you know what, he was better than that”.
“On our flight back (after the game), it was a long flight, as you can imagine”, Farve said.
“I hated playing against Kevin Greene”, Favre said. These are guys I grew up watching and then I got the opportunity to play with him.he’s doing something that very select few, the 1% of all athletics get to do, go into their professional Hall of Fames. “I hope I succeeded”.
Favre’s father died of a heart attack in 2003.
Favre’s wife, Deanna, presented him. When asked about his year with the Jets, Favre had some surprising things to say. “So it was an easy choice”.
Favre went on to become a three-time MVP from 1995 to 1997 and a National Football League champion in 1996, playing 20 pro seasons with four teams.
This was a lengthy and loaded speech by the Super Bowl XXXI champion.
Brett Favre’s 36-minute induction speech set a new Pro Football Hall of Fame record.
That event served as the final mend between the Packers, their fans and Favre, who originally retired in 2008 only to change his mind later that summer.
He got in all of his thank you’s-even his longtime agent Bus Cook got a shout out-and he even referenced his famed indecisiveness in joking about playing the first series for the Packers in the exhibition game that was supposed to happen the following night (with an Ed Werder reference for good measure).
“Atlanta to Minnesota, 20 years”, Favre said summing up his career. He belongs there, and I couldn’t be happier to finally see the Gunslinger take his rightful place.
Many current and former members of the Packers’ organization also were in the crowd, Holmgren, Steve Mariucci, Ted Thompson, Edgar Bennett and Aaron Rodgers.
Saints fans will be able to watch New Orleans play their four preseason games as all four will be televised (check local listings for FOX affiliates carrying the games). Just listen to this [chant of “Go, Pack, go”]. I was just having fun. “Well, I unknowingly entered the house first to a large eruption of surprise, and of course it was not my birthday and, as you can imagine, a 14-year-old boy in that situation with all his classmates there, was red-faced and embarrassed and I was looking for the quickest way to get to my bedroom”. And that started with Brett. And it started with Ron Wolf. But Brett’s ability to do what he did was just remarkable.

“So it was the last high school football game of my high school career, and although I don’t remember how I had played before, and I don’t remember how I played in the last game, what I do remember is sitting outside the coach’s office, say, on a Wednesday, waiting for my father to come out so we could leave”.
