According ESPN’s Jayson Stark, the Tigers have dropped their bid for the Milwaukee Brewers catcher.
In exchange for Lucroy, the Brewers are looking to acquire high-end prospects and a catcher, Rosenthal reported late July 27.
The Houston Astros, Cleveland Indians, New York Mets, Texas Rangers, Boston Red Sox and Detroit Tigers are all be mentioned as in the mix to acquire Lucroy, who is hitting.300 this season with 13 home runs and 50 RBI in 93 games. The Indians are the most significant club on the list, as they are one of the teams in on Lucroy. He is due roughly $1.5 million the rest of this season, after which he has a $5.2 million team option for 2017.

Crasnick also points out that Lucroy has a partial no-trade clause that includes trades to the Tigers.
