“I know when I make a birdie there are a lot of guys at their computers who will be excited”. He is the first club pro to make the cut at a PGA Championship since 2011 and was the only one to do so in this year’s event after shooting 71-73.

Joe Leonard, pro at Bull’s Eye Country Club, played in the final round of the PGA Championship at Whistling Straits. “From the clubs, the people they touch, the kids that are going to get interested in golf because of their pro that was in the tournament, and it’s amazing the ripple effect of how many people it reaches”.

Gaffney got his round in just before a storm hit the area and play was suspended until tomorrow, so he will have to wait until Saturday to find out his playing partner and tee time. He is 44-over par in his three go-rounds at the PGA, the Post reported.

“I tried to get as much out of it as I could”.

This is his fourth PGA Championship.

“In that third round, I just had a train wreck in the middle of the round that I just couldn’t slow down, ” he said. ” I live and die along with them. It’s exciting”, Gaffney said.
