Brian Stuard and the other leaders never hit a third-round shot Saturday as Zurich Classic of New Orleans was halted by thunderstorms, raising the chance of a Monday finish for the event.

Rain, which also delayed play Thursday and Saturday, is again forecast Monday.
Bjerregaard eagled the par-4 third hole and had five birdies. That could happen if there are no delays.
“Once it stops raining we’re going to give it some time to drain and warm up time”, Carman said. It is his second 36-hole lead (2014 Sony Open; finished sixth).
All of the afternoon starters were still on the course when play was stopped for the evening.
He is the second Chinese player to win a European Tour event on home soil. In fact, the Zurich has become the poster child of contingency plans.
The PGA Tour announced Sunday after the suspension of Round 3 play that they hope to complete the tournament as a 54-hole event.
With 54 holes the most likely scenario, the in-running 8-1 about Stuard (bet365 and Paddy Power) is worth considering.
Play is set to begin Monday at 7 a.m., if the weather allows.
Jamie Lovemark, who completed five holes, is a stroke further back.
Notables in the field include Jason Day at 5-under but eight holes to play; last week’s victor Charley Hoffman at 4-under through two rounds; and Rickie Fowler at 4-under through 27 holes.
Marcel Siem from Germany was at nine-under overall and five-under for his round when play ended and resumed with a double-bogey before recovering with a pair of birdies for a 67 to stay two behind Aguilar.
Prior to the rain, Wyatt was making a big move at six under par on the front nine.
Stuard, who had a 36-hole total of 12-under par 132, said it was too soon to start thinking about a victory.
Australian Day picked up three strokes in eight holes to be among a group at 10 under.
Defending champion Olivia Mehaffey (Royal County Down) is two shots off the lead, while Jessica Ross (Donaghadee) and Rachel Thompson (Cork) are a fuurther three shots behind. The PGA Tour is the best at dealing with the elements, and the players do a remarkable job of being flexible in dealing with starting and stopping of play.
