However, according to the New York Daily News, once it came to the live at bats, Tim Tebow was not able to show off that same type of power.

Tim Tebow showcased his hardball talents in front of scouts from 28 major-league teams on Tuesday. Tebow said that he still loves football, but also said that he loves “hitting baseballs” and that he’s “excited” for the pursuit of a career in the majors. He also showed undeniable hitting ability with a series of line drives and long homers during batting practice. Here, you might have seen me when I was 17, but you haven’t seen me since. “There wasn’t a season that went by that it wasn’t something that I thought about”.

The only teams that weren’t there were the Chicago Cubs and the Oakland Athletics to see the 255-pound, muscular Tebow run a 6.70 in the 60-yard dash. He shared that there is a lot that goes into all of this and that means that there is a lot of pressure, as well as a lot of nerves.

Tebow has not played competitive baseball since his junior year of high school in Jacksonville, Florida in 2005.

Tebow realizes he is still far from the big leagues, but he hopes to play in the instructional league in Arizona next month before heading into winter league ball, perhaps even in Latin America. During the batting practice, the former professional football player was able to launch a number of shots over the scoreboard located at Southern California’s Dedeaux Field. I took a pay cut to do this.

Yet an NL scout told USA Today, “I thought he was OK”.

“If I’m a team, I’m signing him”, Moeller said. “It’s definitely not about money”.

“You know since I was 4- or 5-years-old there’s been two things I’ve loved the most in sports: One was playing quarterback, having 10 other guys look at you and depend on you to win a game”. He feels that whether he falls flat or fails, at least he tried and it is all about making sacrifices.
