Bridgeport police search for female accused in attempted abduction

Video released by police shows the teenager bailing from the auto in motion and tumbling on a sidewalk as the vehicle drives away.

A 17-year-old girl bailed out of a auto in Bridgeport, Connecticut after a woman lured her into it and assaulted her, according to police. The suspect’s auto then pulls a U-turn, doubles back on the opposite side of the road and keeps going.

Police said on Monday, at about 7:15 a.m., officers responded to the corner of Boston Avenue and Palisade Avenue, for the report of an attempted abduction.

The teen, who has not been identified, was not injured while making her escape.

Police in Bridgeport, CT, are on the lookout for the auto and its driver.

The teen bailed out of the auto while it was traveling west on Boston Avenue. The Yaris made a u-turn at Dover Street and drove east, toward Stratford. She had freckles as well as black hair tied in a ponytail.

The vehicle is missing the rear bumper leaving the white plastic foam exposed, as seen in the video. Anyone with information about this incident should contact Detective Jeff Holtz at 203-581-5293.

It’s unknown if the teen knew her attacker.
