Bridgewater’s knee surgery finished; grueling rehab next
While Vikings coach Mike Zimmer won’t commit an exact timeline for quarterback Teddy Bridgewater’s recuperation following his gruesome knee injury, initial reports on Bridgewater’s surgery appear to be positive.

“I got a call from the doctor today and everything is good”, Zimmer said. “They said it’s a good fix; I don’t know exactly what he said”.
Zimmer said he spoke to Bridgewater’s surgeon after the procedure and learned no major problems were encountered beyond the knee dislocation and complete tear of the anterior cruciate ligament.
Zimmer said that he’s texted with Bridgewater recently but hadn’t talked to him since the surgery.
“No, he’s probably kind of groggy”, Zimmer said.
He said he and the 23-year-old have been in communication the last few days and he has no doubt it’ll be a “good rehab”.

“I feel like our team feels like we have a chance to be good but there are 31 other teams that are feeling the same way”, Zimmer said.
