While the Prince last visited Barbados in 2010 on an official trip, this will be his first official visit to all of the other Caribbean countries.

The Prince will return to Barbados to celebrate the island nation’s 50th anniversary of independence.

At a Haiti benefit concert he danced the calypso on stage to raise money.

Britain’s Prince Harry is scheduled to visit Guyana before Christmas as part of a tour to several Caribbean countries on behalf of Queen Elizabeth II, Kensington Palace announced. This will however be Prince Harry’s second visit to the federation, having visited Nevis in 1993 with his mother and older brother Prince William.

When OBSERVER media contacted the Director of Royal Communications, Sally Osman, she said, “I’m afraid there aren’t any more details at the moment but there will be in due course”.

According to the press release, the visit to the Caribbean also falls on the occasion of the 50th Anniversary of Independence for Barbados and the 50th Anniversary of Independence for Guyana.

The tour is set to begin in the coming months, with Kensington Palace only stating it would occur in the late autumn (our spring).
