British Airways Suffers Widespread Delays

According to The Associated Press, British Airways has issued an apology to all travelers impacted by the delays associated with the computer failure, which is the airline’s second check-in systems failure of the year.

At around 6.15am, the airline added: ‘Hi there, our IT team are continuing to work behind the scenes to resolve the issue.

The airline’s check-in system went down this morning, due to an IT glitch. “We are sorry for the delays some customers are experiencing as they check-in for their flights”. “Our colleagues are doing everything possible to check in customers for their journeys”.

O’Hare International, San Francisco International, Seattle-Tacoma International, London City, Heathrow, Gadwick airports etc. were affected.

The airline responded to each Twitter post with some version of its statement to the news media.

British Airways has been rolling out a new check-in system since past year and a spokeswoman said the check-in delays were teething problems that affected many airports. Waiting at ORD for @British-Airways 296.
