British Bataclan Victim Died In Arms Of Ex
Nick Alexander, 35, from Colchester, Essex, was among 89 people who were killed when terrorists opened fire in the city’s Bataclan concert hall on November 13 a year ago.

After the hearing, Mr Alexander’s sister Zoe also spoke outside the court, describing him as a “strong, gentle and amusing man”.
Ms Wilson repeatedly tried to revive him before a bomb went off inside the theatre.
“I twisted my body around and gave him mouth-to-mouth”.
She asked Mr Alexander if he had been shot and then felt a “burning sensation” around her legs and could see blood.
Mr Alexander (35) was a merchandiser for the Eagles of Death Metal, the group performing when two attackers from the so-called Islamic State terror group attacked the theatre with explosives and kalashnikovs. At the time, Alexander’s family described him as “generous, amusing and fiercely loyal”.
Outside the coroner’s court, Mr Alexander’s older sister, Zoe, stood alongside their mother, Sheelagh, and paid tribute to him.
He said Alexander did not call for help after being shot “because he didn’t want anyone else to get hurt”.
After staying at his hotel she met him later on November 13 at the Bataclan during the concert. “Nick and I were still talking, I told him not to move and keep his eyes closed”.
The senior coroner for Essex, Caroline Beasley-Murray, recorded a verdict of unlawful killing at the inquest in Chelmsford. The pair had been in a relationship until 2006 but had remained friends and were in Paris together.
She said: “I noticed a small guy with a pistol and another taller one, who I would describe as the leader, who had a machine gun, who opened fire with the machine gun”.
Alexander’s sister Zoe told the broadcaster outside the coroner’s court that her brother “lived his life to the full” and had “lost his life in an indiscriminate act of terror”. She said: “On 13 November previous year our precious Nick along with 88 others lost his life in an indiscriminate act of terror at the Bataclan theatre”.
His father Barry did not attend.

In November, the inquest into Alexander’s death was opened and adjourned in Chelmsford.
