There will be as many sighs of relief from fans lucky enough to have tickets to last night’s show as disappointed groans of those unlucky souls planning for tonight after news of this cancellation breaks.

You’ve got two chances to see Adele when she swing through town this month. ‘I’m really, really sorry to let anyone down.

Adele said, though she performed in Phoenix on Tuesday, she pushed herself too hard and the cold won the battle.

The phrase references Adele’s chart-topping single “Hello”, in which she sings, “Hello from the other side / I must have called a thousand times”.

The singer announced in a video that her Wednesday show at Talking Stick Arena in downtown Phoenix was being postponed because she came down with a bad cold. And my cold has gotten the better of me.

“Even if I did the show [tonight], it wouldn’t be very good”, she added. I’ve pushed through a lot of things but I’ve been trying to sing all morning and warming up and nothing is really happening.

Luckily the kind folks at the Arizona Diamondbacks Baseball Club invited some of the devastated Adele fans in to watch their game. “I will reschedule this show, I promise you”.

The Hello hitmaker looked visibly emotional after being faced with this unfortunate situation and felt like she was letting her fans down.
