British war veterans angered by Transformers Nazi filming

A Transformer movie has angered veterans after producers have announced they will turn Winston Churchill’s former home into the headquarters of Adolf Hitler.

Transformers: The Last Knight will hit cinemas next June (17).

“I know its a film, but it’s symbolically disrespectful to Churchill”, Colonel Richard Kemp, a former commander of British forces in Afghanistan told United Kingdom newspaper The Sun.

‘He will be turning in his grave’.

A spokesman for Blenheim Palace said they would not confirm whether they had prior knowledge of the Nazi elements of the Hollywood script.

Meanwhile, the charity War Veterans UK said soldiers who fought in World War II would be “appalled” by the scenes.

Churchill is buried about a mile from Blenheim Palace, which is now owned by distant relative Jamie Spencer-Churchill, the 12th duke of Marlborough.

Staff yesterday claimed he was not in residence.

The £200million movie is thought to be based on a successful Nazi plot to invade Britain.

The Blenheim Palace is often hired out to cover maintenance costs of the estate.

The Swastikas and military weapons have now been removed.

The film is being produced by LA company Di Bonaventura Pictures.

Sir Winston was born there on November 30, 1874.

Churchill became PM on May 13, 1940 – eight months after World War Two started.

Once the Transformers actually begin transforming, that may be a high possibility as Churchill is buried a mere mile away in Bladon, reports The Guardian.
