The pop star has joined a growing list of celebs using their star power to aid with flood relief efforts in Louisiana. One victor will win a flight for two to New York City to attend the VMAs on Sunday, at which Spears will perform, and meet the singer at the event.

The “Make Me” hitmaker has teamed up with the humanitarian charity Red Cross and fundraising site CrowdRise to offer every person who donates $10 the chance to either win the ensemble she wears on the night or a trip to the show in NY to meet the pop beauty at the ceremony held at Madison Square Garden on August 28.

“The American Red Cross is helping thousands of people in Louisiana affected by devastating flooding”.

Swift pledged $1 million, recalling how the state’s fans “made us feel completely at home” during her stop there for her 1989 World Tour.

“I’m calling on everyone to pull together and help out with the relief efforts that are underway”.
