Britney Spears makes most-anticipated comeback — MTV VMAs

Douglas was supposed to join her Final Five teammates Simone Biles, Laurie Hernandez, Madison Kocian and Aly Raisman to present at the award show in Madison Square Garden on Sunday night, August 29, but due to health issues, the gymnast didn’t make it to the event.

Britney Spears, 34, rocked the stage with her show-stopping performance at the 2016 MTV Video Music Awards at New York City’s Madison Square Garden on Monday.

Rihanna turned the 2016 MTV Video Music Awards into her own personal showcase. Rihanna thanked her host of collaborators over the years, and also Drake. One song was not enough, naturally, so RiRi gave us a medley, including hits “Only Girl In The World”, “Don’t Stop The Music”, “We Found Love” and “Where Have You Been”. “All my adult life i’ve looked up to her even though she’s younger than me”. “11 years later, they still know Rihanna as the one and only Rihanna”. “My success started as my dream”.

In her acceptance speech, Rihanna pledged never to forget her native Barbados. I’ma talk. Now, later tonight “Famous” might lose to Beyoncé, but I can’t be mad.

In true Kanye fashion, the rapper ranted onstage, touching on subjects from music to his beef with Taylor Swift to violence in his hometown Chicago before he debuted his music video for “Fade”, which starred Teyana Taylor. She also appeared recently on a hilarious carpool karaoke video with James Corden where she revealed that she would love to have a collaboration with ex Justin Timberlake.
