Britney Spears Threatens to Sue Magazine Over ‘Offensive’ Story
According to TMZ, the Baby One More Time singer’s lawyer sent the magazine a sharp letter warning them to not publish a story about BritBrit’s supposedly erratic behavior at the MTV VMAs. Huh. The tabloid claims to have a source that caught Brit “talking and laughing to herself and using a British accent”.

Spears’ rep replied with a letter threatening to take legal if the publication made a decision to publish the story, calling it “utterly false, highly defamatory and completely offensive to Ms. Spears”. The next issue of In Touch is expected to be released Wednesday, but the magazine has yet to confirm whether or not it will move forward with the Britney story. Spears is said to be exhausted of the “made-up” stories, especially considering all the work she’s done to turn her life around.
