One British man was fatally stabbed and another wounded during a pre-dawn knife attack at the coastal resort of Ayia Napa, police in Cyprus said. The police chief said investigators have been able to track some of the suspects’ movements through closed-circuit television cameras and that authorities have been alerted at all airports, ports and crossing points to be on the look-out for the suspects.

Jason Woods, who is believed to have spent time with Mr Low this week, wrote on Facebook: ‘Words can’t describe what you meant to me. Love you so much’. He didn’t care about anything other than making his mates laugh. One donator, Marina Zapp, posted: “Sleep tight Gorgeous George”.

The Foreign Office said it is providing support to his family. He was reportedly stabbed in the neck, severing his carotid artery.

His friend, who is also aged 22, was stabbed four times in the back.

Both were taken by ambulance to a private clinic in Paralimni, where doctors confirmed one had died. Police said the suspects were still at large today.

The young holidaymaker was knifed in the seaside Cyprus party town at around 3.30am this morning.

His friend, also 22, was stabbed in the back.

The page’s description reads: “Any donation would be great, but £6,000 is the ultimate goal to bring our lovely friend back from Ayia Napa and have her buried in Coventry, where her friends and family can have a attractive ceremony for her”.
