They say a possible motive was that Pilkington felt her husband gave too much attention to the children and not enough to her.

The central Ohio mom who police say confessed to killing her three kids is scheduled to make her next court appearance Tuesday.

Pilkington, 23, is in jail on $1 million bond.

Pilkington hasn’t been required to enter a plea yet.

The funeral for her three month old, son Noah Pilkington will be held Thursday, his brothers, four year old, Gavin was found dead in April, and three month old, Niall died in July of 2014, both of similar causes.

During a hearing, a doctor speculated that the boys might have had a genetic defect, but the doctor also said there were signs of neglect. Authorities took custody of her third son after he was born three months ago, but a judge allowed him to return home because there wasn’t conclusive evidence the older boys had been killed.

He isn’t a suspect in the case and relatives say he hasn’t been seen since his wife’s arrest.

This bothered Brittany Pilkington, who said the children should be treated equally, Cummins said.

The indictment against Brittany Pilkington carries with it a death-penalty specification because the case qualifies for it, but that doesn’t necessarily mean that Logan County Prosecutor Bill Goslee will seek such punishment.
