Brock Lesnar flagged for potential anti-doping violation after UFC 200 win

Brock Lesnar has been flagged for a potential anti-doping violation by USADA just a week after he defeated Mark Hunt at UFC 200 on his return to the UFC.

Lesnar’s test was returned to him by USADA (United States Anti-Doping Agency) on July 14, before being passed onto the UFC on Friday following the positive test results.

– Lesnar’s opponent at UFC 200, Mark Hunt, said that he wants UFC to “sort” the situation out or he wants his release.

The news on Brock Lesnar potentially committing an anti-doping violation and facing a two-year suspension from UFC was a shocker on Friday.

Hunt has requested half of the $2.5 million purse Lesnar took home after winning their fight, MMAFighting.com reports. They have assured that there is a fair and justified legal process done to all the athletes before any verdict shall be imposed.

“The cheaters get a slap on the wrist and walk off”, Hunt told MMA Fighting.

Lesnar told The Associated Press: “We will get to the bottom of this”.

“Consistent with all previous potential anti-doping violations, additional information will be provided at the appropriate time as the process moves forward”.

“I’ve been dealing with that my entire life”, Lesnar said on a media conference call days before UFC 200.

UFC isn’t the only company that’s paying attention to the Lesnar news. He had been scheduled to perform again for the WWE at SummerSlam on August 21, wrestling Randy Orton.

In the build-up to the fight, Hunt made several accusations that Lesnar was “juiced to gills”, though Lesnar refuted his accusations several times and on the UFC 200 media conference call said, “I’m white and I’m jacked, deal with it”. “Once the dust settles there, I don’t know what I’m going to do”.

The fallout from this incident, whether substantiated or not, could be significant for Lesnar, for UFC and for WWE.

Lesnar is still under contract to the WWE, most recently appearing in its ring April 3, but was given permission to return to the UFC for one fight.
