Brock Lesnar returns to the octagon in UFC 200 co-main event
Although Lesnar has been plying his recent trade in professional wrestling, that’s never stopped there being speculation of a UFC return and it’s been reported several times previously that he was on the brink of making a return.

Lesnar re-signed with the WWE in March 2015 right before WrestleMania that year for a multi-year term after debating whether or not to fight again. He also won the NCAA Division I heavyweight wrestling championship in 2000 at Minnesota and went to training camp with the Minnesota Vikings as a defensive tackle in 2004, but didn’t make the team.
“I couldn’t live with that decision [stepping away from MMA]”, Lesnar said.
Former UFC heavyweight champion Brock Lesnar will return to the Octagon as one of the headliners at UFC 200.
This is big news as Lesnar, 38, will be the first WWE Superstar to compete for UFC while under contract with WWE.
Lesnar acknowledged that he had a conversation with WWE Chairman and CEO Vince McMahon which cleared the path for his fight at UFC 200. “Following this milestone event on July 9, Brock will return to WWE for SummerSlam on Sunday, August 21, live on WWE Network”, the statement reads. After defending his UFC heavyweight title against Frank Mir at UFC 100, Lesnar battled a case of diverticulitis, getting sidelined for nearly a year.
During an awesome night of fights at UFC 199 (that Rockhold vs Bisping fight!), a promo ran for the tentpole UFC 200 event in July. Here is one of the comments that was said about Brock Lesnar “Should be known as Brock Glass Jaw Lesnar”.
Brock Lesnar is reportedly eyeing a return to UFC. “I didn’t care”, Lesnar said of the announcement.

Lesnar has kept in the public eye as an occasional performer for WWE. He retired from MMA competition after the said fight. His last UFC fight came on December 30, 2011 against Alistair Overeem at UFC 141.
