Brock Lesnar to Fight at UFC 200 for ‘One-off Opportunity’
Brock Lesnar is set for a return in the UFC but that doesn’t mean he won’t be appearing in the World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE). “That decision has haunted me for the last 15 months”, Lesnar said on SportsCenter. The deal for Lesnar to return to the UFC was just recently finalized but apparently discussions have been going on as Lesnar reportedly started training for the fight in April.

“I feel 1,000 percent”, Lesnar told ESPN’s Hannah Storm.
Lesnar made a surprise appearance at the end of the latest promotional video for the July 9th UFC 200 card.
However, as time passed Lesnar’s desire to fight again heightened, but he felt he was in a constant battle with his body.
After a brief run as a superstar in WWE, Lesnar (5-3 MMA, 4-3 UFC) tried his hand at making an National Football League roster before transitioning to MMA. Are you excited to first see Brock Lesnar return to the octagon on July 9? And it’s a familiar one for the former heavyweight champion.
WWE does have an opponent already in mind for Lesnar at SummerSlam, however, how “The Beast” fares at UFC 200 could always lead to a change in plans.
Lesnar successfully defended the title twice – against Frank Mir and Shane Carwin – before he took a devastating first-round knockout loss to Cain Velazquez at UFC 121 in October 2010. “The only thing I second-guess is my decision is to step away from the Octagon”. Analysts project it to be the highest profile UFC event since UFC 100 (which also featured Lesnar).

While talks are progressing well between Lesnar and the UFC, an opponent for Lesnar isn’t close to being finalized. Unfortunately for Lesnar his fighting career was cut short due to medical issues stemming from a long bout with diverticulitis. The name value and brand alone would make UFC 200 a must-watch for not only MMA fans, but pro wrestling fans as well.
