As many of you may know, Lesnar is now under contract with World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE), however, it appears WWE CEO Vince McMahon is allowing his star to compete inside the Octagon this summer.

“It was a hard decision for me to make”, he said.
And he’s revealed that his decision to call time on his MMA career has “haunted him” for the last 15 months. When asked about why the UFC and Dana White would want him back inside the Octagon, Lesnar said “I’m big business”.
However, as time passed Lesnar’s desire to fight again heightened, but he felt he was in a constant battle with his body.
But from the looks of it, Lesnar’s comeback fight got approval from WWE.
Lesnar will face Hunt in a one-off appearance, focusing on WWE when it is complete, as he is contracted until 2018.
WWE confided that Lesnar remains under contract with the wrestling promotion and is slated to perform at the company’s “SummerSlam” event on August 21.
Lesnar’s opponent next month, Hunt, is a 42-year old New Zealand native who enters the match with a 12-10-1 record, including 9 knockouts. It was nobody else’s idea, ‘ Lesnar said. Lesnar overcame Randy Couture to win the UFC heavyweight title in November 2008 but, after two successful title defences, he was dethroned by Cain Velasquez in October 2010.
Lost in the shuffle of the Brock news is this note from FloSports’ Jeremy Botter about another former WWE Superstar fighting before SummerSlam: Phil “CM Punk” Brooks.
Brock Lesnar hasn’t accepted a gimme by any means for his long-awaited return to the UFC.
